The DCUL3 is a complete graphic terminal
unit for driving the most used LCD's without a built-in-controller.All
components to put a display into operation are placed on a
very small surface of only 80cm². Standard connectors are
used to connect the display, keyboard, system-interface and
the power supply (+5v). Because all connectors are snapped
to a grid of 2,54 mm the usage of the DCU-L3 as a piggy-back
card in your system is very easy. The 8 bit parallel interface
(standard) is compatible to most character LCD's. So it is
very easy to add graphical output to your existing system
at low cost, without changing your hardware. |

Operating Modes
Terminal mode
(Standard)
All incoming characters will be shown on the display. This mode supports
line-wrap, scrolling, back-space, carriage return and line feed. Special
functions like 'Change Font', 'Draw Line' are called by sending ESC-sequences.
Compiler mode
Objects are stored in the application memory and can be recalled by
short commands. |
