DCU-L3/L3C Display control unit
The DCUL3 is a complete graphic terminal unit for driving the most used LCD's without a built-in-controller.All components to put a display into operation are placed on a very small surface of only 80cm². Standard connectors are used to connect the display, keyboard, system-interface and the power supply (+5v). Because all connectors are snapped to a grid of 2,54 mm the usage of the DCU-L3 as a piggy-back card in your system is very easy. The 8 bit parallel interface (standard) is compatible to most character LCD's. So it is very easy to add graphical output to your existing system at low cost, without changing your hardware.
Operating Modes

Terminal mode (Standard)
All incoming characters will be shown on the display. This mode supports line-wrap, scrolling, back-space, carriage return and line feed. Special functions like 'Change Font', 'Draw Line' are called by sending ESC-sequences.
Compiler mode
Objects are stored in the application memory and can be recalled by short commands.
